It’s a pleasure to welcome you to my corner.
Hello, I’m Makgoadi Ngoasheng; blogger and host of Wining and dining with strangers.

I wondered how it would go if strangers sat at a table and shared an intimate meal, something out of their comfort zones- and so I tried it. And here we are. Wining and dining with strangers was somewhat easy to do, as it would involve some of my favourite things; good food, wine and meeting people. I think it works because humans like to challenge themselves and get out of their safety bubbles. Yep, talking to strangers has now become daunting since mobile phones happened to humans. We don’t talk to random people the way we used to. And what better way to bring people together than the age-old act of sharing a meal?

I believe that sharing a meal or a glass of wine (even between strangers) is a universal “language” that can unite individuals who might never have met. This here, is a community where enthusiasts and novices unite in their appreciation for wine, food and art.

And that’s where you’ll find us; sparking conversations, fostering relationships, at a dinner table…

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy- meditate on these things.
